Copyright Protection
We help register your songs with recognized copyright and collection societies to support proper ownership records, rights protection, and royalty tracking across global music markets.
Publishing Royalty
UMW Song Assets helps organize work registrations, royalty collection data, publishing statements and eligible payout information for songwriters and rights holders.
Publishing Payouts (90%)
You keep 90% of the net publishing royalties collected through UMW Song Assets. UMW retains 10% as a publishing administration fee. This applies to publishing/composition royalties and is separate from distribution/master recording royalties.
Publishing Royalty Payouts
Access collected publishing royalties through secure payout options, subject to reporting cycles, minimum payout thresholds, compliance checks and the Publishing Services Agreement.
Publishing Administration Only
You retain ownership of your compositions, recordings, and rights. UMW Song Assets provides publishing administration and royalty collection support; it does not transfer ownership of your music. The 90% publishing payout refers to collected net publishing royalties, not ownership.
Verified Song Registrations
Your works are reviewed and registered with accurate metadata to improve identification across databases, increase royalty matching, and support stronger publishing income collection.

Audiovisual Licensing & Synchronization
UMW Song Assets may administer eligible synchronization and audiovisual publishing rights for films, television, advertising, documentaries, games, online video and other audiovisual productions, subject to the applicable mandate, territory, rights, licensing route and client approval.
Digital & Online Monetization
UMW Song Assets administers eligible publishing rights and collection data across applicable sources and territories. Collection depends on accurate registrations, reported usage, licensing arrangements, applicable rights, society or partner processing, and source availability. UMW does not guarantee that every use will be identified, matched or collected.
Mechanical & Phonomechanical Royalties
Your recordings are protected under phonomechanical rights, meaning every reproduction (CDs, downloads, etc.) is monetized. We manage these earnings through all official music repositories and stores.
Radio & Global Repositories
From radio airplay to in-store usage and global song databases, we register your works where others don’t. UMW ensures your music is present and protected — even in niche or non-digital markets.
At our company, we review and select music synchronization opportunities for film, television, streaming platform productions (such as Netflix, Max, or Disney+), video games, advertising, trailers, digital media, and branded content. Eligible music from our catalog can be evaluated for potential placement based on catalog style, rights ownership verification, license availability, approval requirements, territory, production needs, and commercial demand.
We protect and manage your copyright (composition: lyrics + melody). We register your works, organize splits, handle claims, and collect mechanical, live performance, and synchronization royalties (depending on reach and territory). This includes metadata tracking and transparent reporting.

10% to UMW Song Assets for publishing administration.
The royalty share is calculated on the net income actually received by UMW, after applicable deductions for collecting societies, collecting societies, taxes, currency conversions, bank charges, and other contractually authorized discounts.
UMW does not guarantee that a composition will generate royalties, that all its uses can be identified, or that external entities will make payments within a specified period.
That should only happen if a separate written agreement expressly states it. As presented publicly, the publishing page is positioned as administration and royalty support rather than ownership transfer.
UMW coverage for audiovisual licensing/synchronization and lists example platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTubeTV, HBO Max, Apple TV, and Disney+ as covered on the publishing allies section.
Performance (Public Performance): TV, radio, shows, venues, some platforms.
Mechanics: Streams/downloads + some digital uses.
Sync: Licenses for series, films, ads, video games.
YouTube/UGC: Monetization and claims (if applicable)
The standard Administration Period is twelve (12) months from the effective date, unless the applicable Publishing Order expressly specifies a different term. Automatic renewal applies only when it is expressly included in and accepted through the Publishing Order. Where automatic renewal applies, UMW Song Assets provides advance notice in accordance with the Publishing Services Agreement. Termination and post-termination settlement are governed by the applicable Publishing Order and Publishing Services Agreement.
Publishing royalty timing depends on registrations, reporting cycles, collection societies, sub-publishers, and the territories involved. Publishing income does not always move at the same speed as DSP master royalties.
